Deep Sea Mining in the Pacific Seminar

Pacific Peoples’ Partnership is thrilled to present the Deep Sea Mining Seminar—a virtual event designed to raise awareness about the issues surrounding deep sea mining.

It is a panel discussion with academics, politicians, and activists exploring the impacts that Deep Sea Mining will have in the Pacific Ocean and the communities that rely on the Pacific Ocean. The discussion will touch on what deep sea mining is, the role that Canadian mining companies have played in the development of deep sea mining, why there needs to be a moratorium, and how we can move forward. There will be a chance for the audience to ask questions and engage with the discussion.

Join us virtually on February 15th at 5 pm (PST) for an insightful discussion.
