Hi!! It's funny cause I've been wondering what the difference could be and a friend gave me some clothes for when my daughter will be a bit bigger.. As I was sorting them I saw shirts with 3T and shirts with 3X and shirts with only 3..

I don't think T or X as anything to do with the diapers because why shirts then..?
----------- I looked on shirts from same brand... ----------------
I think that T is for Tall
(the 3T shirts are longer than the 3 and 3X shirts..)

And I`m pretty sure X is for wider, little bigger...
(the 3X shirts are definitely a bit wider than the others)
Well that's what I figured out when I tried to find the differences...

Anyways hope it helps!

i think it means different things in different stores.. i always saw T as toddler sizes.. at old navy a 5T is smaller then a regular 5 girls in pants and i always saw the X as a slightly larger more relaxed fit

i remember once i was curious a store had a size 4 and 4x i compared them one ontop the other and the X was slightly wider

Funny how this topic revived. I always found the T shirts had longer arms and the X was a bit wider.

3T means it fits a diaper or extra chubby baby waists. 3x is really a size 4 like a 6x is a size 7.

You won't see both in the same line though.

I bought my DD the exact same pants from Zellers. One was just the age size and the other was the age size with an X after it. The X one was far wider and the pants just slipped off her hips.
