Christmas present for a stuffie

Postby OnceHarmony on Wed Dec 21, 2011 10:15 am

DD has just informed me that her favourite stuffie wants a stuffie for Christmas.

Great, now I'm supposed to buy gifts for stuffies? When does the madness stop?

I think I'll buy a little one (better check with DD what her favourite stuffie wants) and tuck it in DD's stocking with a note on it that says For: ________.

Hahaha. I love this! If you have time you should put a little piece of velcro on the gift stuffie so the current stuffie can "hold" it. :)

Last year our daughter told us her stuffie sharky(a mouse) wanted a baby mouse. She was lonely. So we indulged and got her a baby. Our daughter was so thrilled.

When I ask my 4 year old son what he wants from Santa for Christmas he replies "It's a surprise, you'll see on Christmas morning." Doesn't really give a lot to work with!

My oldest dd has a favourite stuffy (Frizzy Bear) that she has had since before her first birthday - she is now nearly 8. For a few years, Frizzy had his own stocking, and got his own little tiny stuffed bear. The things we do...

My daughter is 11, and just this last couple months has stopped carrying around her teddy (I sort of miss that old guy!) he always had a stocking but he went everywhere with her for about 5 years, so he really was a member of the family. He would get a couple tiny things I had found in the Sally Anne in it. I think that when a stuffy is VERY special, and is a member of the family so to speak then special things happen in regards to that stuffy :D

A couple of years ago our DD made a paper stocking for her 2 goldfish!

Of course Santa has to put a treat in the stocking for them, as DD says that pets "are part of the family!" ;-)

Kids are so cute aren't they?

DD just came to the realization tonight that her favourite stuffie's stuffie's birthday is Christmas Day and got all excited about that. I better not have to throw a birthday party for a stuffie on Christmas Day. :?

And of yes, our pet gets gifts and has its own stocking made by Angels6 back when she was Angels5.
