I love the idea of those baby lock, but ay ay ay, it would cost about $60-$80 to outfit the kitchen!! Is it a worthwhile investment? Anyone have them? This is our first (but not last) baby, and I don't know how long we should anticipate needing to keep the kitchen "childproofed."

I can’t say that it was for us! Low lying plugs and the cleaning cupboard would be the most I’d do if I could do it again. I didn’t for my second child at all.

Have you considered maybe some from eBay? I know I have found there 4 pieces for 5 dollars and they work just fine. I have them for 2 years now, 2 of them broke but I am very satisfied with them. I am not sure how many you need but if it is a large number, you can't go cheaper either way.
