Favourite Nicholas Sparks novel?

I just finished "The Best of Me" and would like to try another. This was the first of his I had read and was a nice distraction book from the craziness of my life right now

I really liked The Guardian. That was the first book of his that I read and was probably my favorite. I usually enjoy his books, even if they are predictable. It's just a nice change sometimes.

If you like him, you should read Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas and Sam's Letter's to Jennifer by James Patterson. When I read those, I kept having to remind myself that I was reading James Patterson and not Nicholas Sparks. Both of those books really reminded me Nicholas Sparks novels.

I just started The Lucky One (I *think* it has been made into a movie??) - will let you know what I thought of it once I'm done.

Done - I quite enjoyed it! :)

Update: I have just completed The Best Of Me (and enjoyed it). I'm selling it (like new) on Used Vic for $4 if anyone is interested.

I have read:
*The Choice
*The Lucky One (took me a bit to focus during this one at the start, not sure why)
*Safe Haven (excited to see that this is coming as a movie in 2013)
*The Last Song
*Nights In Rodanthe
*A Bend In The Road
*The Rescue
I have read these books over several years so I needed to look at summaries for some of them to recall the storylines. However, I read Safe Haven last year and really liked it. I also remember enjoying The Choice and The Lucky One.

I have seen the movies:
*The Notebook
*A Walk To Remember
*Nights In Rodanthe (my fave, Diane Lane is one of my fave actors)
*Dear John
*The Last Song (enjoyed it)
*The Choice (not what I expected but it was still fine, Zac Efron made my daughter join me)

On my reading list:
*Three Weeks With My Brother (looking forward to reading this)
*True Believer
*At First Sight (apparently to be read after True Believer)
*The Wedding (follow up to The Notebook)
*The Guardian
*Message In A Bottle
