Daughter is starting at Dunsmuir in January...looking for ti

Postby CMx3 on Wed Dec 28, 2016 4:20 pm

We will be new to the Colwood area in January, and my daughter will be starting at Dunsmuir (Gr7) on January 3rd. She's a shy kid, and has some trouble putting herself out there to make friends. She's a good kid though, she gets along with everyone, especially if they are into sci-fi and other geeky things.

Looking for any advice to help her get acclimated. Maybe a club or afterschool activities for kids who like building things, robotics, science, etc. Perhaps you have kids at Dunsmuir who can offer their own advice, or perhaps they can keep an eye out for her and introduce themselves.

Any words of advice would be appreciated. Right now she really has no idea what to expect from her new school.

Thanks!
