Kids and colouring hair

Postby OnceHarmony on Sun Jul 05, 2015 8:17 pm

DD wants her hair coloured and I'm not ready for that yet so I've said no, not yet. How long do I have before no, not yet becomes too long?

30? 40? When she starts getting grey hairs?

I was in my twenties and lived on my own. It just seems that it is happening younger than my time and I don't want to be an old fuddy duddy.

I have no issue with coloring DD's hair. We do the wash out stuff. She has no patience for the permanent dye or the smell so that makes it easy. She has dark hair though so it is harder to dye.
Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren't used to an environment where excellence is expected.

She doesn't want funky colours. She wants blond. If it was funky colours we would use the hair chalk wash out stuff. I'm so not ready for permanent hair colour dying going on on her beautiful, soft, natural hair. I'll see how long I can stretch no, not yet. Thanks everyone.

you could have fun with wigs and clip ins.. that way she could have the colour and then take it off at the end of the day
