New 8th grade curriculum

Postby sakurasanta86 on Sun Apr 29, 2018 8:23 am

We have an 8th grader in an SD61 Middle school. She had a great time in 6th and 7th grade and was an A student. Suddenly she is struggling. For some reason she only has one teacher (except for math). I know usually 8th graders had 3 or 4 teachers to prep them for HS and because the subject matter is more complex in 8th grade. No idea why this was changed.
Do you have an 8th grader?
If he or she getting exposed to mainly one teacher or several?
Not sure if this is all of SD61 or just her school.
I know the French immersion kids still have seperate teachers for example.
