Offering diverse hands-on programming for children and families, the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is the ideal place for children to explore visual culture and express their own creative vision!

Our children’s art studio offers programming for children ages 2 – 12 with a range of hands-on classes including painting, printmaking, comic book art and ceramics, and more! Drawing inspiration from the current Gallery exhibitions, and the lives and work of famous artists , our dedicated teachers will introduce process-based learning emphasizing the exploration of materials and creative expression.

In addition to the Studio, join us the third Sunday of the month for Family Sunday (October – March). The Gallery presents an afternoon of activities to bring you, your family and friends together with art. This includes a variety of hands-on projects based on specific exhibitions and special themes. In addition art making activities we also offer Family Tours and Activity Guides! Children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, please call 384-4171 ext. 0. Family Sundays usually take place from 2:00pm – 4:00pm / Free with gallery admission. Please note: maximum participant number is 175 (first come, first served).
