The Playful Pencil Art Studio was opened by Jodi Appleton in 2017 to provide a fun and welcoming space where students of all ages could learn and practice their drawing and illustration skills.  Class sizes are kept small so that everyone can receive individual instruction and lesson plans are adjusted to meet the needs and interests of each individual group of students.

We offer school break camps as well as after school, weekend and evening programs for kids, teens and adults.  We also offer workshops to schools and companies (or private, in-home parties), birthday parties and private lessons.

Nature Drawing & Journalling (7-12yrs)

Each day we’ll explore a theme through our nature journals by visiting local parks and beaches to sketch and paint landscapes, plants and animals.

Drawing & Art Making (7-12yrs)

Each day we’ll work with a theme playing with different mediums to create a variety of 2D and 3D projects. We’ll practice basic drawing techniques and participants will have the opportunity to get creative with their own unique style.
