    Detailed Information

Make a WILD addition to your family this year: Adopt a Grizzly Bear, Cougar or Owl from The Land Conservancy of BC for the holidays.

Looking for ethical gift options this holiday season? Consider adopting a lovable, fuzzy Grizzly Bear, Cougar or Owl for the children in your life from The Land Conservancy this year. Money from each adoption package helps save and maintain special places in BC with cultural, agricultural or natural significance.

Not only does an adoption package offer you the opportunity for your holiday spending to make a difference, it also comes with a plush animal your loved ones can cuddle and cherish, a personalised adoption certificate, and features an educational pamphlet explaining how your symbolic adoption will help save wildlife habitat and other special places in BC.

Thanks in part to the adoption program; TLC has been working since 1997 to save a variety of natural, historic and agricultural lands throughout the province for future generations to enjoy. Proceeds from the adoption program have helped conserve locations like the Grizzly-friendly Horsefly River Riparian Conservation Area near Williams Lake.

For more information, visit or call 1-877-485-2422. Adoption packages can also be picked up at the conceirge desk at MayFair Shopping Centre or TLC’s Gift Shop at Abkhazi Garden, 1964 Fairfield Road, Victoria.

TLC’s Gift Shop at Abkhazi Garden also features a variety of carefully-selected, unique and socially-conscious gifts, many by local artisans. Our fine selection includes beautiful needle-felting scarves of silk and wool by Joy Garnett, hand-created purses, beeswax candles and Wildflower honey from the Apiary at TLC’s Keating Farm, colourful stained glass pieces, and small Abkhazi hand-bound garden journals. Perhaps loved ones on your Christmas list would enjoy a special tin of Abkhazi tea or some B.C. jams and chutneys.
