The lower playroom is spacious, bright and divided into 2 sections.
One area is carpeted for the children to sit and explore blocks, cars, puzzles, games, theme toys and many educational activities.
Dramatic Play is a wonderful part of our program. We have a little nook in the upper play area where many fabulous experiences occur.
It is usually is a small house with a kitchen centre and baby dolls. It changes with the seasons and themes. There may be a grocery or shoe store; a veterinarian or doctor’s office; a jungle hut or a cave; a castle and even a space house. The children are often seen picnicking their way through the preschool and creating their own play events.
View Royal Preschool is nestled in the View Royal Community Hall. It’s an older, brown stucco building that is used for many community events.
The outside playground is an exciting place for children to explore the many wonderful opportunities of nature in a safe environment.
There’s a mud kitchen and many logs and tree rounds for the children to move around for their outdoor imaginative play events that the children create.
The natural landscape surrounds the children’s play equipment. They are able to ride in cars, chalk on cement, paint on easels, excavate in the large sandbox, explore the upper pathway and even sit on a tree.
