Broadway’s beloved musical hits the stage at the Phoenix Theatre at UVic.
Get ready to laugh, cheer, and spell your heart out as six quirky adolescents compete for the coveted title of spelling champion in the Broadway musical that has captivated audiences worldwide. Watch as they navigate through a series of challenging (possibly made-up!) words while sharing hilarious and heartwarming stories from their home lives. With catchy tunes, unexpected twists, and opportunities for audience participation, this fast-paced gem promises an experience you won’t want to miss!
Directed and choreographed by guest Jacques Lemay, one of Canada’s most talented and esteemed Producer/ Director/Choreographers. Music Direction by Stephanie Sartore, returning to the Phoenix after her fantastic work on last year’s hit, 100 Years of Broadway.
